Welcome! 

My name is Alyssa and I started drawing long before I can even remember! I am a New Orleans, LA native and have been creating pet portraits for over 5 years now. What started out as a gift for a friend quickly turned into something I have grown to become extremely passionate about. I originally started out by using Prismacolor colored pencils (a professional grade colored pencil) and recently have transformed my style by using Unison, Faber-castell, and Stabilo Carbothello soft pastels and pastel pencils to create the illustrious works of art you see today!

My artistic style is best described as a modern painterly touch on realism. My favorite type of art to work on is detailed in nature and maybe even a little bit challenging at the start. I think there is something so beautiful and freeing about escaping my mind in the details of each piece I create. I have experience in many art mediums including acrylic paint, oil paint, watercolor paint, colored pencil, and soft pastel! With this vast experience in mediums, comes a wide range of "favorites" when it comes to art. Another love of mine is painting homes, churches, and other architectural structures in watercolor. My diversity as an artist is something I am really proud of and I am excited to share that with you all. New Orleans is home to many different types of artists, many of which I follow and admire so much! Watching others live out their dream has inspired me to stop holding back and bring a touch of realism to the New Orleans art space! I am so excited to bring my unique style to your homes!

When placing your commission order, you may wonder how I am booked up so far out! This is because I only take a limited number of commissions since I am actually a full time clinical pharmacist! There are just simply not enough hours in the day for me to complete commissions any quicker than I already do!
